Genocide Project
You are to create a visual presentation with your group that answers the following questions about your assigned genocide:
- Where and when did the genocide take place?
- Who was the group targeted? Who were the perpetrators (villains)?
- Why was that particular group targeted?
- Timeline of at least 5 events that show the progression of your genocide (how it started and ended)
Essay Introductions
1. Review what an introduction is with this document.
2. After being assigned a topic, each group will come up 4 different attention getters using the Writer's Guides. Each person in the group will write one down on their sheet of paper.
3. Share these with the class.
4. Complete the rest of the introduction as a group (step 2-explain your topic, step 3- thesis statement). It can be the same explanation and thesis statement, but everyone is writing on their paper.
5. Staple your group papers together and turn in.
6. On your own, complete and turn in pg. 249 in your textbook. You will need your evidence logs from this unit ("The Grand Mosque", "Diary of Anne Frank", "Maus", and your independent learning text).

Two Voice Poem- Slam Poetry video
You will write a two-voice poem, either on your own or with a partner at your table. Select two people or objects (your two voices). Your two voices must repeat the same line at least 3 times. In the example below, Batman and Joker repeat I have secrets, we are total opposites, and I am nothing.
If you are working on your own, your poem must have at least 12 lines. If you are working with a partner, your poem must have at least 20 lines.

- Sequence- Find someone currently working in that profession and write about their journey.
- Compare/Contrast- You have two options for this essay, compare and contrast your profession to another one OR compare and contrast your person to someone else in the field.
